Sunday Night UWH
GAME PLAY STIPULATION

To all participating players:

The Sunday evening SECONN game is played under the CMAS " International Rules for Underwater Hockey".
Link found at: WWW.SECONNUWH.COM. There is also a printed copy of the rules pool side.
All participating players are required to read and follow the CMAS rules with no exception.

Underwater Hockey is a contact sport. There are two types of physical contact, acceptable contact, and unacceptable contact:

Acceptable Contact: Stick contact, accidental bumping, non-verbal communication between players, tapping/nudging, pushing off players on the same team to create distance or strategic advantage, high fiving...

Unacceptable Contact (fouls):
Unsportsmanlike contact (rule 13.3.9),
groping/sexual contact,
repeated fouling,
Physically attacking (rule 16.3.17)
Deliberate Hurting
Dangerous Play (rule 16.3.21): swimming over the top of players, coming up hard under players, shooting the puck directly at defending players.

Unacceptable contact will not be tolerated during the Sunday evening game. If there is an accusation of unacceptable contact during the game, the game will be stopped and the infringement will be dealt with using the "Guide for Penalties" as listed in the 2022 CMAS Rules. The accusation of unacceptable conduct will be taken very seriously and in the worst case the penalty is game dismissal (rule 16.3.20).

All players with no exception must stipulate that they will play by the rules and feel comfortable with the acceptable forms of physical contact.
Any player that does not agree to play by the CMAS Rules and that is not comfortable with the acceptable forms of physical contact related to the sport will not be permitted to play.

The Sunday Evening Game is inclusive to all, and all are welcome to play.
They are not however welcome to make up their own rules.

A copy of this letter will be posted poolside for all players review and accept.

Thank you,
Peter Papathanasiou - Organizer
